연세대학교 신과대학

설립목적

본 연구소는 한국에서의 기독교와 문화와의 관계를 연구하여 한국 기독교와 신학교육의 발전에 기여함을 목적으로1965년 연세대학교 신과대학 부설 연구소로 설립되었습니다. 본 연구소는 이와 같은 설립목적 안에서 신학학술전문지인<신학논총>과 를 발행하였고, [용재 백낙준 박사 : 기념강좌], [남은 김인서 목사 : 기념강좌],[21세기 영성 공동체와 미래 : 연속공개강좌], [한류와 정의 : 연속공개강좌], [신학이 있는 교회건축 : 연속공개강좌],[한류의 현지화와 종교 : 국제세미나], [세월호 참사와 지구적 위기에 대한 생태신학적 성찰 : 세미나], [세월로 이후의 신학 : 세미나],[생명의 신학 : 국제학술심포지엄], [2015 춘계 한국종교학대회] 등 각종 연구발표회와 강연회 및 학술대회를 개최하였으며,[공개학술강좌]는 매 학기마다 몇 차례씩 꾸준히 개최하여 신학의 새로운 지평을 열어가고 있습니다.

또한 근래에는 [한국연구재단 인문사회분야 연구지원사업] 선정, [재단법인 플라톤아카데미 학술대회 지원사업] 선정,[한국연구재단 토대연구지원사업] 선정 등 특수 연구와 이에 따르는 여러 사업들 역시 활발히 수행함으로써 한국 기독교와 신학 교육의발전에 큰 기여를 하고 있습니다.

Purpose of Establishment

The institute was established as an annex research institute to the school of theology of Yonsei University both to study he interaction between Christianity and culture in Korea and to improve Korean theological education. Being loyal to this purpose, the institute began publishing professional theological academic journal and held various academic conferences and lectures such as [Dr. L. George Paik Memorial Lecture],[Rev. (Nam-Eun) Kim In-Seo : Memorial Lecture], [21st Century Spiritual Community and Future : Consecutive Public Lecture], [Korean Wave and Justice : Consecutive Public Lecture], [Church Architecture with Theology : Consecutive Public Lecture], [Korean Wave‘s Localization and Religion : International Seminar], [Eco-Theological Reflection about Sewol ferry’s Disaster and Global Crisis : Seminar], [Theology after Sewol ferry : Seminar], [Theology of Life : International Academic Symposium], and [2015 Spring Meeting of Korean Association for Religious Studies]. Especially, the institute is consistently hosting [Public Academic Lecture] every semester, broadening the horizon of theological research.

Recently, the institution has been also included and actively participating in the funding projects of [National Research Foundation of Korea – Support for Humanities and Social Science], [National Research Foundation of Korea – Support for Foundation Studies],[Foundation Academia Platonica – Support for Academic Conference].The institution also supports other various academic activities not mentioned above. It does so in the hope of advancing and contributing to Korean Christianity and Its theological Education.
